Daniel Brands has returned to winning ways by clinching his second title at the $15,000 ITF Futures in Kramsach on Saturday afternoon against fellow German Jeremy Jahn.

The top seed of the tournament’s 17th edition fired 12 aces and broke serve twice to secure a 7-6, 6-1 victory in one hour and 11 minutes. Brands lifted his first trophy in two years without dropping a set. The 29-year-old from Deggendorf won his last title at the same place in Kramsach in 2015.

“This tournament was very important for both of us, as we have now made it into the qualifying of the US Open,” told Brands, who practices together with Jahn at the TennisBase Oberhaching. The World No. 216 earns $2,160 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points.

Earlier in the day, top seeded Austrian tandem of Pascal Brunner and Maximilian Neuchrist took the doubles crown, winning the final against Swiss Adrian Bodmer and Jakob Sude from Germany 6-2, 2-6, 10-5. The encounter lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
