Guido Pella will return to the Top 100 after clinching his 11th ATP Challenger career title in Milan. The 27-year-old won Sunday’s all-Argentine-final at the €43,000 Aspria Tennis Cup against Federico Del Bonis.

Pella was leading 6-2, 2-1 when Del Bonis, who appeared in his third consecutive Challenger final, was forced to retire with a strained gluteus muscle. The match ended after 61 minutes.

Pella has now won 17 of his last 20 matches. The former World No. 39 lifted his first trophy of the season.

“I am very happy to get back into the Top 100 after a lot of work. I need to stay focused in order to improve my level,” Pella stated on twitter after his win.

On Saturday, Tomasz Bednarek from Poland and Dutchman David Pel eased past the Italian tandem Filippo Baldi and Omar Giacalone 6-1, 6-1 to capture the doubles title. The final only lasted 50 minutes.
