Adam Pavlasek captured the title of the €64,000 Banja Luka Challenger, winning Sunday’s final against Miljan Zekic from Serbia 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

The 21-year-old from the Czech Republic had a slow start into the title match but found his rhythm in the second set and broke his opponent four times to secure victory in one hour and 54 minutes.

“Of course I have had an amazing week here. I had a lot of tough matches, so I am happy that I won today,” Pavlasek told and added: “I will play some more Challengers as well as some qualifications into ATP events for the rest of the season.”

Pavlasek lifted his second Challenger trophy of the season, following his triumph in Prague in June. The tournament’s fourth seed earns €9,200 in prize money as well as 100 ATP ranking points. Pavlasek will reach a new career high on Monday, being ranked on 81st position.

On Saturday, Czechs Roman Jebavy and Jan Satral clinched the doubles title, winning 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 over Andrea Arnaboldi from Italy and Austrian Maximilian Neuchrist. The encounter lasted one hour and 35 minutes.
