STARNBERG, March 4, 2026
The first ATP Masters 1000 event of the season begins on Wednesday at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
Two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz, World No. 2 Jannik Sinner and five-time Indian Wells titlist Novak Djokovic headline the field at the hard-court event. Top seed Alcaraz holds a perfect 12-0 record in 2026 and will aim to add a third trophy to this year’s haul in California, where he triumphed in 2023 and 2024.
Jack Draper returns as the defending champion, while US-American Taylor Fritz has fond memories at the tournament, having lifted the trophy in 2022. Alexander Zverev is the fourth seed and will seek an eighth Masters 1000 title and first in Indian Wells.
