OBERHACHING, February 12, 2026

Thursday at the $15,000 TennisBase Open in Oberhaching featured the round of 16 in singles and the quarterfinals in doubles, delivering another day of high-quality tennis. Former champions Daniel Masur and Marvin Moeller both secured their places in the quarterfinals and will now meet in a much-anticipated all-German showdown. Joining them in the last eight is reigning French Open junior champion Niels McDonald, who once again demonstrated his fighting spirit.

Masur had to work hard in an all-German duel against Marc Majdandzic. After losing the opening set, the 2023 champion used his experience, changed the tempo with clever variations and took full control of the match to record a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 comeback victory.

Moeller, champion in Oberhaching in 2022, produced a composed performance against Syrian Davis Cup player Hazem Naw. After a dominant first set, he briefly faced more resistance in the second before finishing strongly to seal a 6-2, 6-3 win and book his place in the quarterfinals.

Niels McDonald also had to come from behind. The 18-year-old dropped the first set against Poland’s Karol Filar before steadily taking over the match and winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. In the quarterfinals, the French Open junior champion will face top seed Paul Jubb.

The most dramatic encounter of the day saw local favorite Max Rehberg narrowly lose a nearly three-hour thriller to qualifier Yaroslav Demin, who edged the deciding tie-break to prevail 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(5). Vincent Reisach’s impressive run was halted by France’s Mae Malige, who claimed a 6-2, 7-5 victory.
