Austrian teen sensation Lilli Tagger has captured the biggest title of her young professional career by lifting the trophy at the inaugural Fujairah W100 Championships. The 17-year-old completed a flawless week without dropping a set, sealing the title with a 6–4, 6–2 victory over seventh-seeded Briton Harriet Dart in Saturday’s singles final.
The former junior world No. 4 reached the championship match with a series of convincing wins over Serbia’s Teodora Kostovic, France’s Chloe Paquet, Slovakia’s Viktoria Hruncakova and Mexico’s Renata Zarazua. Seeded third at the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 hard-court event in the United Arab Emirates, Tagger remained in control in the final, winning 56 per cent of her first-service points and converting five of her 11 break-point opportunities to close out the match in one hour and 39 minutes.
“It’s been a great week here in Fujairah. It’s always nice to win a title,” Tagger said. “Facilities here were great. The courts were very good and the weather was nice. I enjoyed my week here. Everything was straightforward. It’s a great tournament and I look forward to coming back.”
With her fourth career title on the Pro Circuit, Tagger has now reached a new career-high ranking of world No. 128.
Tagger first made international headlines last year when she won the title of the French Open at Roland Garros. She also reached the quarterfinals of both the Australian Open and Wimbledon on the junior circuit, underlining her status as one of the most promising young talents in the game.

Fujairah, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, stands out for its dramatic mountain landscapes and its unique location along the Gulf of Oman. Unlike most of the UAE, it faces east, giving it a rugged coastline with clear waters and popular diving and snorkeling spots.
The emirate blends natural beauty with history, featuring landmarks such as Fujairah Fort and the Al-Bidyah Mosque, the oldest in the country. With its quieter pace, scenic beaches, and growing role as a port and cultural hub, Fujairah offers a different and refreshing side of the UAE.
