NOTTINGHAM, January 5, 2026 (LTA Media Release)

The first international tennis event of 2026 gets underway today at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre, as the ATP CH50 Lexus Nottingham Challenger main draw commences.

There are several British players confirmed across both the singles and doubles draws for the event, including three Brits among the top eight singles seeds – including Johannus Monday as number one seed – with more with a chance of coming through qualifying.

Among the Brits competing, former Wimbledon Boys’ Singles champion Henry Searle reached the final of last year’s event and will be hoping to go one step further in 2026. Also, former top 100 player and British Davis Cup representative Liam Broady will be looking to continue his resurgent form after coming back from injury last year. Meanwhile, another one to watch is Toby Samuel, who has won his last two ATP Challenger events and is currently on a 15-match unbeaten run, part of a run of form which has seen his ranking rise from outside the top 500 at the start of November to currently sit at 261.
