The ATP announced on Friday that the Copa Internacional de Tenis in Curitiba has been voted the Best Tournament of the Year in its category for 2025, marking a historic milestone for Brazil. For the first time ever, a Brazilian event of any category on the ATP Challenger Tour has received this honor.

Players evaluated every tournament on the circuit based on criteria such as services, organization, facilities, atmosphere, and overall experience. In 2025, a total of 98 Challenger 75 tournaments were held worldwide, and Curitiba achieved the highest average score of them all.

ATP Vice President of the Challenger Tour, Julia Boyadjieva, celebrated the achievement, highlighting the tournament’s impact on the circuit:

“The entire team in Curitiba has taken enormous steps in building a successful tennis culture. The commitment and hard work of the tournament staff, volunteers, and sponsors produced an exceptional week for both players and fans. Congratulations on this achievement. We look forward to another great week on the ATP Challenger Tour in 2026.”

The event promoters also shared their pride:

“Being voted the ATP Challenger 75 of the Year in 2025 is a historic achievement for Brazilian tennis. The Curitiba Challenger is the result of an extremely dedicated team working with passion and professionalism. We are grateful for the competence and commitment of the Graciosa Country Club team, our organizing staff, and the sponsors who made everything possible. It is a tremendous source of pride and an even greater motivation to continue elevating tennis in Brazil,” said Nelson Aerts and Danilo Marcelino of Instituto Sports.

The Graciosa Country Club — one of the most traditional and complete clubs in the country — delivered top-level infrastructure both on and off the court, reinforcing the standard of excellence that defined the event and helped place it at the top of the Challenger Tour.

The Curitiba ATP Challenger, Copa Internacional de Tenis, was held from October 12 to 19. Paraguayan rising star Adolfo Daniel Vallejo clinched the title.
