Nations Make Final Preparations Ahead Of 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Play-Offs

The 2025 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Play-offs begin on Friday, with 14 nations set to compete in their first tie of the weekend. The remaining seven teams in the Play-offs will contest their opening tie on Saturday.

The Play-offs are being played as seven groups of three teams this year, with the winning nation in each group advancing to the 2026 Qualifiers – meaning that those teams will begin next season with a chance to win the Billie Jean King Cup title.

This weekend’s events span five continents, with the action getting underway in Hobart, Australia at 0100 GMT on Friday; the seventh Play-offs event begins in Monterrey, Mexico at 2200 GMT on Friday.

Group A – Club Sonoma, Monterrey, Mexico (hard, outdoors)

Mexico v Denmark (1600 local/2200 GMT)

Group B – Arena Gorzow, Gorzow Wielkopolski, Poland (hard, indoors)

Poland v New Zealand (1500 local/1400 GMT)

Group C – Cordoba Lawn Tennis Club, Cordoba, Argentina (clay, outdoors)

Slovakia v Argentina (1100 local/1400 GMT)

Group D – Arena Varazdin, Varazdin, Croatia (hard, indoors)

Czechia v Colombia (1400 local/1300 GMT)

Group E – Domain Tennis Centre, Hobart, Australia (hard, outdoors)

Australia v Portugal (1200 local/0100 GMT)

Group F – Tennis Club Ismaning, Ismaning, Germany (hard, indoors)

Germany v Turkiye (1500 local/1400 GMT)

The players representing each team will be announced one hour prior to the start of each tie.
