HERSONISSOS/STARNBERG, October 19, 2025
Harry Wendelken claimed his maiden Challenger singles title at the ICONICO Crete Challenger 2 hosted by Lyttos Beach in Hersonissos. The 23-year-old Brit beat Czech teenager Maxim Mrva 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
Wendelken entered the main draw of the hard-court event as a lucky loser after a defeat to Radu Albot in the qualifying. The Cambridge native then saved one match point to outlast Michael Geerts in the first round of the main draw, which lasted almost four hours of play to kick off a fantastic run in Crete.
Believe it, Harry Wendelken
