Peniston clinches his second ATP Challenger Tour career title after Winnipeg, Canada two years ago. The 29-year-old Englishman pocketed €7,530 in prize money as well as 50 ATP Ranking points.

The ICONICO Crete Challenger was the fifth ATP Challenger Tour tournament hosted in Crete this year, with the sixth starting next Monday – a remarkable achievement for Greek tennis that highlights the sport’s rapid growth in the country. It also underlines Crete’s emergence as an international sports destination, combining athletic excellence with tourism and global visibility.

The events are organized by International Tennis Coaching, led by Apostolos Tsitsipas and his team, whose vision is to make Greece a reference point in world tennis. Their mission focuses on steady and systematic development, providing more opportunities for young Greek players to compete in high-level tournaments without constantly needing to travel abroad.
