VIENNA/STARNBERG, September 25, 2025
This year’s Erste Bank Open will feature one of the strongest player fields in the tournament’s history, with five of the world’s Top 10 players set to compete. Italy’s Jannik Sinner (ATP No. 2), Germany’s Alexander Zverev (No. 3), Australia’s Alex de Minaur (No. 8), Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti (No. 9) and last year’s finalist Karen Khachanov (No. 10) headline the line-up.
Beyond the elite Top 10 names, the entry list shines with even more star power. Andrey Rublev (No. 14), Tommy Paul (USA/No. 15), and Alexander Bublik (KAZ/No. 16) — who has already claimed four ATP titles this season — are confirmed, as is Daniil Medvedev (No. 18).

Adding further depth are three more big names: Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov and US-American Frances Tiafoe. Tsitsipas, who has won at least one ATP Tour title every season since 2018 and now boasts 12 trophies in total, confirmed his Vienna appearance just before the entry deadline. His best result at the Wiener Stadthalle so far is a semifinal showing in 2023.
The strength of the 2024 field is underscored by the fact that a world ranking of No. 37 (the original cut-off) was required to gain direct entry into the main draw. Austrian hopefuls Filip Misolic and Sebastian Ofner have received wild cards to compete at their home event, staged across the Wiener Stadthalle and the Marx Halle. The full entry list after the deadline can be found at www.erstebank-open.com/players.
“This line-up promises not only an exciting tournament but also the highest sporting quality,” said Tournament Director Herwig Straka. “When even a Top 20 ranking is not enough to be among the eight seeded players, it speaks volumes about the strength of this year’s field.”
