Day six of the Platzmann Open 2025 was heavily impacted by rain, allowing only limited action on the courts. In total, only two doubles semifinals and the resumption of the second-round singles match between Niels McDonald and Sumit Nagal were completed before persistent showers brought play to a halt.

Seventeen-year-old McDonald resumed his match against Indian alternate Nagal after their Thursday evening encounter was suspended due to rain. Both players returned to court on Friday morning showing signs of nerves, but it was the French Open junior champion who held his nerve at the key moment. A crucial break at 5-4 in the final set allowed the German wild card to seal the win and advance to his first-ever quarterfinal on the ATP Challenger Tour.
