Zachary Svajda captured his first title at the Hall of Fame Open in Newport, Rhode Island, defeating former champion Adrian Mannarino of France 7-5, 6-3 in under 90 minutes in the singles final of the ATP Challenger Tour grass-court event.
In front of a packed crowd at the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Sunday, the 22-year-old US-American broke his opponent’s serve four times to take control of the match. The win marks Svajda’s fifth career ATP Challenger career title, his first at the Challenger 125 level and first on grass.

“This win means so much to me. It’s been a really tough year I would say, with some things going on in the family side. With hard work it really pays off, I really kept going at it and trying to stay positive. It means everything, winning this tournament” said Svadja.
By lifting his fifth ATP Challenger Tour career trophy, the California native earned $28,400 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
Tracy/Cash triumph in doubles
In doubles action, wild card entries and 2024 Hall of Fame Open finalists JJ Tracy and Robert Cash claimed their first Newport title. The former Ohio State standouts and reigning NCAA National Champions defeated Hans Hach Verdugo of Mexico and Cristian Rodriguez from Colombia 7-6, 6-3 to claim their seventh Challenger title since turning pro last May.
Bouncing back from a tough three-set loss at Wimbledon just a week earlier, Tracy and Cash delivered a dominant performance, winning over 70 per cent of their service points and saving all four break points they faced. The encounter laste one hour and 16 minutes.
Tracy and Cash split $9,900 in prize money and collected 125 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
