STARNBERG, July 4, 2025

The 2025 season of the Tennis Channel Bundesliga kicks off on July 6, promising elite-level tennis with 24 ATP Top 100 players and seven Top 50 names listed across participating teams. Once again, Germany’s premier club competition solidifies its reputation as the strongest national tennis league in the world.

One of the standout contenders this year is Gladbacher HTC, fielding an impressive lineup headlined by Czech teenager Jakub Mensik (ATP No. 17), who stunned the tennis world with his breakthrough title at the Miami Masters earlier this season. Mensik is joined by Tallon Griekspoor (NED, No. 34), Fabian Marozsan (HUN, No. 58), Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG, No. 62), and Botic van de Zandschulp (NED, No. 90), placing Gladbach firmly among the championship favorites. Their campaign begins away in Neuss before returning home to face Rosenheim.

TC Bredeney, runners-up in recent seasons, once again build around a strong German core. The Essen-based squad includes seasoned Davis Cup players such as Jan-Lennard Struff, Yannick Hanfmann, Maximilian Marterer, Oscar Otte, Peter Gojowczyk, Tim Puetz, and Tobias Kamke. With a solid mix of experience and national pride, Bredeney is expected to be in the title mix once more.

Reigning champions TC Großhesselohe are aiming to defend their title in style during their club’s 100th anniversary year. Their roster includes Italian rising star Luciano Darderi (ATP No. 48) and Chilean standout Alejandro Tabilo (ATP No. 56). German prospect Justin Engel will also feature for the Munich-based team, which faces a blockbuster season opener away at Bredeney.

“The Tennis Bundesliga continues to live up to its reputation as the strongest league in the world,” said DTB Board Member Veronika Rücker. “Nowhere else can tennis fans experience this level of play at a national club level. It’s a showcase for international stars and German standouts alike — and an excellent opportunity to see top-tier tennis up close.”

This season, the Bundesliga features a total of 24 ATP Top 100 players and seven players ranked inside the world’s Top 50. Full rosters and additional league information are available on the official website.

All matches from the 2025 Tennis Channel Bundesliga will be broadcast live and exclusively on Tennis Channel.
