Main-draw action at the Piemonte Open Intesa Sanpaolo kicked off Tuesday in Turin, Italy. However, due to bad weather only one first-round match of the ATP Challenger Tour 175 tournament could be finished.

Federico Coria battled past Austrian alternate Jurij Rodionov 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. The 32-year-old Argentine converted six of his 18 break-point chances and won 53 per cent of the total points played to secure victory in two hours and seven minutes. Coria will next take on No. 4 seed Lorenzo Sonego of Italy.

Meanwhile, an abdominal issue forced fifth-seeded Italian Flavio Cobolli to withdraw from the tournament. He will be replaced by a lucky loser.
