Spanish veterans Roberto Bautista Agut and Albert Ramos-Vinolas lead the semi-finals line-up of the Copa Faulcombridge Ciudad de Valencia Bautista Agut, top seed of the €118,000 ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event being held at the Club de Tenis Valencia, defeated his compatriot and lucky loser Alejandro Moro Canas 6-2, 7-5 in the stage of the last eight on Friday.
The 35-year-old Castellon de la Plana native capitalized on four of his seven break-point opportunities and won 57 per cent of the total points played to advance in one hour and 37 minutes. Bautista Agut will next take on Kazakh qualifier Denis Yevseyev, who fought past local wild card entry Martin Landaluce 7-6(6), 7-6(2) in two hours and 11 minutes.

In the bottom half of the draw, Ramos-Vinolas beat fifth-seeded Frenchman Hugo Gaston 6-2, 6-4. The No. 3 seed from Barcelona saved all three break points he faced and converted all of his own three break-point chances to succeed in one hour and 23 minutes.
Up next for Ramos-Vinolas will be Italy’s Fabio Fognini. The 36-year-old beat French qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 43 minutes.
