Sweden’s best-ranked players, Elias Ymer and Leo Borg, have both been awarded a wild card into the main draw of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open. The ATP Tour 250 tournament will be held at the Royal Tennis Halls in Stockholm, Sweden from 14 to 22 October.

Borg made his first-ever tour-level appearance in Stockholm two years ago. Last year, the 20-year-old captured his first professional title by winning the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 event in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt. In 2023, the World No. 362 lifted two more trophies on the Pro Circuit and recorded his first match win on the ATP Tour on home soil in Bastad.

World No. 175 Ymer also received a wild card for the BNP Paribas Nordic Open. In last year’s tournament, he made it to the second round, where Ymer delivered an exciting match against the top seed Frances Tiafoe from the United States but eventually fell in three sets.
