The 2023 Challenger de Buenos Aires, a clay-court tournament organized by the company Torneos, will take place from October 8 to 15 at the Racket Club, and its entry list has already been released. World No. 82 Federico Coria, who was the runner-up at the Cordoba Open and recently won the Szczecin Open, is the top favorite.

Coria will be joined by fellow Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo, who captured the title in Buenos Aires last year by defeating Camilo Ugo Carabelli in the final. The lefty, who is projected to be the second seed, will be aiming to secure his third ATP Challenger Tour title of the year, following consecutive victories in two tournaments held in Tigre in January. World No. 99 Facundo Diaz Acosta of Argentina will be seeking his first trophy on home soil. The in-form South American has already won three Challenger titles on clay in 2023.

Chileans Tomas Barrios Vera and Alejandro Tabilo, who were part of the team that competed in the Davis Cup Final in Bologna, as well as Brazilian Thiago Monteiro, who finished runner-up in the 2021 Buenos Aires Challenger, and home favourites Francisco Comesaña, Facundo Bagnis, and Mariano Navone will also be part of the line-up.

This year, the Buenos Aires Challenger has received an upgrade in its category: it will award 100 ATP Ranking points to the champion and offers a total prize money of $130,000. This makes it the most significant tournament in Argentina at this level and one of the most important in the region.
