Emil Ruusuvuori is the champion of the second Rafa Nadal Open by Sotheby’s International Realty. The 20-year-old from Finland cruised past Matteo Viola of Italy, winning 6-0, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final of the €46,600 ATP Challenger hard-court event.

In the shortest championship match of the season, No. 15 seed Ruusuvuori converted six of his seven break point chances to prevail after only 49 minutes.

Today I just played some really good tennis,” said Ruusuvuori, as quoted by the ATP Challenger website. “Everything just worked. The atmosphere here was great all week.”

The World No. 209 celebrated his second Challenger career title following his maiden triumph in Fergana, Uzbekistan in June. He also made it into the final of the Schwaben Open in Augsburg last month.

Ruusuvuori takes away from Mallorca €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP-Ranking points.

On Saturday, Sander Arends and David Pel from the Netherlands clinched the doubles title. The top seeds defeated Karol Drzwiecki and Szymon Walkow of Poland 7-5, 6-4. The encounter lasted one hour and 16 minutes.
