Dellien To Face Petrovic In Milan Challenger Final

MILAN, June 30, 2019

Hugo Dellien and Danilo Petrovic will compete in Sunday’s singles final of the Aspira Tennis Cup Trofeo BCS in Milan. Dellien, the top seed of the €46,600 ATP Challenger clay-court event, ended the good run of Italian wild card entry Lorenzo Musetti, winning 6-2, 6-4. The World No. 93 from Bolivia broke the 17-year-old’s serve six times to advance in one hour and 15 minutes.

Earlier on Saturday, Petrovic defeated No. 8 seed Sumit Nagal of India 7-5, 6-2. The 27-year-old from Serbia won 57 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 30 minutes.

The pair will meet for the first time. Both players are seeking their second ATP Challenger trophy of the season. Dellien took the title in Santiago de Chile, Petrovic emerged victorious from the Jerusalem Open.

Tomislav Brkic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ante Pavic from Croatia took the doubles crown. The duo defeated Andrei Vasilevski from Belarus and Italian Andrea Vavassori 7-6(6), 6-2. The final lasted one hour and 39 minutes.
